[October 13, 2018] My name is Dan Cornelsen and I am a life-long resident of the Ferndale School District. I graduated from Ferndale High School and all three of my children did as well. My wife has been an elementary school teacher here since 1991.
I graduated from Everett Community College and Seattle Pacific University, then returned to Ferndale and began my career as a union carpenter. I’ve been a journeyman, foreman, and superintendent. I have worked on multiple high school projects in Whatcom and Skagit counties. I am now retired and look forward to being part of the Oversight Committee with the passage of the bond. I offer a “boots on the ground” approach, bringing background and experience to this committee.
I look forward to being a part of something important for our community, a new high school. I very much want to be a part of this process.
